Is corona vaccine effective for cancer patients?

There are questions in various quarters about whether the corona vaccine will be effective in the body of a person suffering from cancer. In many cases, the body of cancer patients did not produce enough antibodies even after taking two doses of Covid 19 Vaccine. Due to which suspicion increased. A recent US and Swiss study claimed that the corona vaccine was effective in most cancer patients. The study found that three to four weeks after taking the second dose of the vaccine, the body of cancer patients develops immunity. However, a small number of cancer patients did not match the effectiveness of the vaccine. The study was published in the journal Cancer Cell.

It is known that research was conducted on 131 patients. Of these, corona antibodies have been made in 94% of the patients. The antidote did not work in the body of 6 percent of the at-risk patients. Should a third dose of the vaccine be given to all these patients? This is the question that is being raised this time.

However, other species of Delta and coronavirus have not been tested in this study. Citing the University of Texas. Dimpy P. Shah says that in many countries, due to the lack of vaccines, only a single dose of the vaccine is effective. In that case it will not be effective in the case of cancer patients.

Meanwhile, an editorial has recently been published in ICMR's Indian Journal of Medical Research (IJMR). The editorial, titled 'Covid 19 and the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program of India', said that the targets set for tuberculosis control and the initiatives taken for corona were not being implemented. However, not only Corona, but also the lack of adequate monitoring of the treatment of tuberculosis patients are all multiple factors that could stand in the way of the 2025 TB eradication target.
