COVID-19: AIIMS's idea of a vaccine-mixture to prevent Delta Plus variants.

Multiple countries are pushing for mixed vaccines to prevent the spread of the corona virus. This has led to some reports of increased immunity or the production of more antibodies. In India, too, Randeep Guleria, head of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), has ruled out that possibility. His hint is that there is a possibility. However, more testing and information is needed before making a final decision.

New concerns have been raised about the Corona Virus Delta and Delta Plus species. This species was the biggest reason behind the second wave in India. Which is spreading rapidly in different countries of the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) has identified the species as the 'fastest-spreading species'. In countries where vaccination is low, the species is spreading rapidly. The virus has already been reported in at least 75 countries, according to WHO chief Tedros Adhanam Ghebriasas. Although corona vaccination has reduced the incidence of infection, doctors are seeing a cloud of vermilion around the third wave of corona in the Delta and Delta species. Countries like Australia and Israel have imposed new restrictions to prevent infection. The governments of different countries are cautious. Delta species have already been found in countries like Britain, America, Russia, France, Portugal, Fiji, Africa, Singapore, Indonesia. Because of this, many are questioning the use of mixed vaccines.

In an interview with an electronic media outlet on Saturday, Guleria said, "There has been talk of such a thing before. Initially a vaccine, using another vaccine as a booster dose. According to some data, the chances of side effects are slightly higher. But mixed vaccines are more indicative of immunity and antibody production. But more information is needed. Many more vaccines will come to market in the future. Pfizer, Moderna, Sputnik V, Jaidas Cadillac. Research is needed to determine which two combinations may be effective. We still do not have any information about this. But yes, mixed vaccines are more likely to be effective. ” The government is working on this. Guleria also said that the results of the test will come out in a few months.

The results of a British survey were published in the Lancet last month. Survey participants were first vaccinated with the AstraZenecar (Covishield) vaccine. In the second case, the Pfizer vaccine is given. It has more short-lived but mild symptoms. But information about its effectiveness has not yet come to the fore. On the other hand, a Spanish survey in this regard, according to the news agency Reuters. It claims that this mixed vaccine is safe and effective. Guleria also expressed concern about the effectiveness of the current vaccines against Delta and Delta Plus species. However, he emphasized the importance of vaccination.

Studies have shown that taking a vaccine gives 33 percent protection against corona. Two vaccines provide 90 percent protection. "It's really worrying that early vaccination against the Delta species may not be enough," said Guleria. The sooner a booster dose is given to ensure safety, the better. Maybe someone can be infected even after this. But the outbreak will be much less. ” However, it is not Delta Plus, but Delta species that is of more concern at the moment, said Guleria. He further claimed that even if there is a third wave of corona infection in the country, it will not be as terrible as the second wave. However, he also warned that it would be wrong to take Corona lightly.
